Kirjava is a daring, reckless and highly amusing individual. She enjoys a good laugh and will take on anyone in a fight. Caring towards pups, but she is also an extreme flirt towards males. She is a happy go lucky she-wolf with an eye for trouble, though her hot temper will sometimes get the best of her.
If this happens, she turns deadly and will wreak destruction with wild abandon, her dark past evident in her crazed golden eyes.
Confident, outgoing and a back talker she hates authority and will push to be released from any confines. Clever, she can see into most wolves, though she keeps the knowledge to herself.
~Past~
Kirjava was born to her parents, both pure wolves, Zanor and Levia. Levia died in labour, leaving Zanor as the sole father looking after his three pups. Naming the boy Zath after his own brother, and the two girls Kirjava and Nahia he found a nursing mother to look after them. a she-wolf who also had her own pups, while he mourned the death of his beautiful mate.
Nahia died in early infancy, as the other she-wolf rejected the delicate female, and accepted only the sturdier pups. Zanor did his best to help the small pup, attempting to feed her on meat, but it was no use. Kirjava’s smallest sister died after a week, emaciated from hunger. This experience tore Zanor apart, and sent him spiralling into cruelty, dreaming of revenge.
Becoming cold, cruel and distant as the two remaining pups thrived on milk from the she-wolf, he plotted his revenge. As soon as his pups were weaned, he killed the she-wolf and all of her pups. He had moved Kirjava and her brother out of harm’s way, intending to tell them that the she-wolf had been attacked, but did not know that they had followed him. Both witnessed the cruel killing of the fae, and were terrified they were next.
They remained with their cold father for the next few months, not strong enough to leave on their own, and fearing for their lives. Kirjava was often protected from her father’s cruel paw by her brother Zath. As yearling wolves, they were taught the ways of fighting, shaped and moulded into mindless killers.
Zath was Zanor’s pride and joy, a huge monster of a wolf with brute strength in evidence. He, however, was always a gentle brute and never succumbed to his father’s will of being a mindless attack dog, always preferring negotiation over battles.
Kirjava was the female, the weak one. Zanor ignored her, as she could never meet his mark of strength, or agility. She was never jealous of Zath, as he was always kind to her, but a hatred for her father began to brew. As the pair began to near 2 years, she had hoped that they could leave their broken father and start anew.
This was not to be.
As they neared their 2nd year, Zanor became aware that Zath would soon outstrip him in strength and skill. He became paranoid, imagining that the gentle giant would overpower him, and take his place. Springing on his son while Kirjava was out hunting, he attempted to destroy him. Zath. However, Zath could match his father in battle, and held his own.
He was too gentle to kill Zanor, and eventually let himself be defeated, leaving behind a bloody battle ground. Zath took off running, and was never seen by his sister again.
Kirjava came back to her father, proudly hoisting an elk she had killed.
She met chaos in re of her return.
Her father lay on the ground, bleeding from a series of head wounds. He was broken in spirit and soul, aware that Zath could have killed him easily. His pride gone, he confessed the truth of his nature, and choked to death on a poisonous plant before Kirjava could stop him.
Kirjava took off running, her slim frame pushing her further and further from the reality of her family. Believing her brother to be dead, she was broken-hearted, and resolved to follow him into the afterlife. Flinging herself from a cliff, she fell down into a ravine.
By some miracle, she landed in a deep pool, and her life was spared. Dragging herself from the depths, she was overtaken by a mad humour. She was too weak to even kill herself properly! Descending into an enraged madness, she began to tear at the terrain surrounding her.
2 hours later she woke as if from a trance. Looking about her, she saw the destruction she had caused, the mangled corpses of smaller animals littering the ground about her paws. Overcome with remorse, she resolved to never lose herself again.
She is not always successful.
Kirjava has two personalities.
There is her usual one, fun-loving, flirty and carefree.
This is the Kirjava she presents to the world, who she really is.
The one not scarred by death and cruelty.
The one that cannot remember her dark past, except in nightmares.
And a darker place inside her that she keeps locked up. This is the personality that she cannot control, the one that she cannot fight. It rarely makes an appearance. But when it does – look out.
Though small, she fears nothing.
She joined Exstinctio, in an effort to recover her identity. Most know her as the free spirit, the innocent young she-wolf with a musical voice.
But now you know better.
